The Challenge —

Redesigning for Gen Z

As one of the most prolific creators of animated kids content ever, Warner Bros. is no stranger to the evolution of consumer preference and behavior. As new platform preferences and engagement habits for their digital kids audience emerged, Warner Bros. turned to SCS for a new iteration of their iconic global portal websites WBKidsgo.com and DCKids.com.

THE
DESIGN

SCS worked with Warner Bros. to create an entirely new digital kids experience focused on mobile-first content discoverability that’s responsive on all platforms. Approaching the new experience with a content-centric mindset, the design features a rich offering from Warner Bros. Looney Toons, Scooby Doo and the Flintstones to the DC Universe’s Super Hero Girls, Teen Titans and Batman as the central visual experience.

Leveraging a customized integration of Drupal 8, SCS created a powerful, easy-to-use content management system that allowed global control from a centralized source for a variety of content types, from videos to games, comics, and more. Expandable to external platforms, the new integration of Drupal 8 was strategically designed to be the central hub for management of all Warner Bros. content beyond just WBKids & DCKids websites.
